Outpatient Substance Use Treatment

LSSI’s Outpatient Substance Use Treatment programs help adults and adolescents continue their recovery journey. LSSI focuses on the whole person and not just the addiction, so each person’s treatment plan is customized to meet their individual needs and goals. Counselors use evidenced-based approaches to treatment and address any traumatic events that have affected an individual.

What Can Clients Expect?

  • Counselors will listen to an individual’s goals and build a treatment plan with them
  • Clients attend group sessions and have individual sessions with their counselor
  • Intensive outpatient services are generally 9+ hours per week of treatment
  • Outpatient services are less than 9 hours per week of treatment
  • Counselors help clients access medical care, employment services, child care, benefits, etc.

What is the Next Step in Recovery?

  • As clients progress in their recovery, they will work through the different levels of outpatient treatment by decreasing the number of group hours per week
  • Clients may move into a sober living home or continue to live in the community
  • Continuing to attend a peer-led recovery group like a 12-step program

  • Choice of morning, afternoon, and evening appointments and group sessions
  • Individual and family counseling
  • Intensive outpatient, outpatient, and aftercare groups
  • Peer-led groups are available (offered at some locations)
  • Adolescent individual and group treatment (offered at some locations)

What Forms of Payment Are Accepted?

  • Medicaid
  • Medicaid Managed Care
  • Commercial Insurance Plans (Aetna, BCBS, Humana, and Optum)
  • Individuals without insurance may be eligible for services
