Intensive Placement Stabilization
Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS)
A partnership with DCFS allows LSSI to provide services for children and youth in 7 counties (Lee, Whiteside, Ogle, Carroll, Stephenson, Jo Davies, and DeKalb). IPS is designed to help promote DCFS goals of safety, permanency, and well-being for the children and youth it serves. To accomplish this, IPS provides short-term services, interventions, and support to children and youth with emotional and/or behavioral problems who are identified as being at risk of placement disruption.
As an IPS provider, LSSI works with families, schools, communities, and others to coordinate services and interventions for issues that may put foster care placements at risk, helping youth achieve stable living situations.
