For nearly 40 years—responding to Christ’s love—members of The Women’s Network of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) have provided dedicated support for LSSI’s programs and services.
The Women’s Network promotes awareness of LSSI’s many programs and their current needs, encourages advocacy, and fosters fellowship. The Network hosts two major fundraising events each year, contributing both volunteer and financial support.
Meetings are held four times each year. Our gatherings are an opportunity to learn from speakers representing LSSI’s programs as well as from LSSI leadership. We participate in caring projects that provide items and gift cards to address basic needs of children and adults served by LSSI’s programs. We are inspired by stories shared at our meetings and site visits, by LSSI staff, and of individuals and families who benefit every day from LSSI’s commitment to care for their personalized needs.
The Women’s Network is a meaningful opportunity to serve Illinoisans in need and to partner with women devoted to LSSI’s mission to bring healing, justice, and wholeness to people and communities.
