Meet Oscar and Kaylee Gordon, LSSI foster parents in southern Illinois, pictured with their biological son and adopted daughter. Our Marion/Vienna foster care team appreciates this family greatly, especially their willingness to foster teenagers, who can be harder to place in foster homes than younger children.
“We have been honored to foster and find this journey a fascinating and wonderful experience,” said Oscar. “Those who have entered our home have shared their life experiences and taught us along the way. We cannot begin to thank Lutheran Social Services of Illinois enough for answering any questions we have and providing the necessary resources when needed. It is our hope that many others will take the steps to foster and enjoy the experience and get to know children who bring much joy, life stories, and experiences.
