Thank you for opening your heart to LSSI. Your gift today will go toward the care of children, families, and foster families across Illinois who depend on LSSI for their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
★ The Gift of a Home - $5,000★
Last year, LSSI served 2,729 children and families by providing counseling, trainings for foster parents, licensing assistance for relative caregivers, and case management. Your gift will help sustain the daily operations of LSSI's Foster Care Program, which serves 42 counties throughout the state.
★ The Gift of Family - $2,500 ★
Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based model designed to help children and adolescents who are impacted by trauma, and their parents or caregivers. Your gift allows three of LSSI's therapists to be trained in TF-CBT as a part of our Families Together plan, a child welfare redesign project, where LSSI is implementing practices to decrease the time of stay for children in the foster care system.
★ The Gift of Stability - $1,000 ★
LSSI's Intact Family Services is a program that works with families to stabilize, strengthen, enhance, and preserve family life by enabling children to remain safely at home and not enter into foster care. Last year, LSSI worked with 1,254 families enrolled across the state. Your gift provides 10 hours of counseling for families participating in this program.
★ The Gift of Security - $500 ★
Your gift provides youth entering care and their new foster families with basic needs items, including diapers, wipes, car seats, school supplies, and anything else they might need.
★ The Gift of Care - $250 ★
LSSI equips our foster parents with the skills they need to help support the special needs of children in foster care. Your gift provides training, such as trauma-informed care, for new foster parents, in order to provide them with important information they need to be the best foster parents they can be.
★ The Gift of Opportunity - $100 ★
LSSI's Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) program, serving children 6-14 years, is designed to address the needs of children with severe behavioral challenges who would otherwise be placed in residential care. TFC prevents children from being institutionalized and keeps them in the community, which includes helping them learn proactive social behavior. Your gift provides an adolescent in our Therapeutic Foster Care program with an opportunity to participate in a social outing.
