Fall Fest Set for October 30 at Nachusa Lutheran Home, Benefits United Way of Lee County

A pork-chop lunch, petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, and face painting are just a few of the activities set for Nachusa Lutheran Home's Fall Fest on Sunday, October 30th from noon to 2 p.m. Sponsored by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), admission to the fest is a free-will offering. Proceeds benefit United Way of Lee County.

Tours of the Nachusa campus will be available and attendees can learn about LSSI programs available in Lee County. In addition, LSSI's Project LEAD (Leaders Encouraging Abstinence from Drugs) will be hosting its "Hidden in Plain Sight" exhibit, which lets people take a walk through a mock teenager's bedroom to identify the warning signs of underage drinking and substance abuse.

Nachusa Lutheran Home is located at 1261 Illinois Route 38. The event will be held rain or shine.
