2024
On October 5 we celebrated innovation in foster care at the 43rd Annual True Friend Celebration: Writing the Next Chapter, at a stunning new venue – Epiphany Center for the Arts. Lee Selander was honored with the 2024 True Friend Award, and author and foster care advocate Mark Daley was the keynote speaker.
2023
We gathered for the 42nd Annual True Friend Celebration on October 7 at the Union League Club of Chicago. The Rev. Wayne Miller and Pam Miller were presented with the 2023 True Friend Award, and Victoria Protsman shared her story of finding a home for her daughter at LSSI.

We gathered for the 41st Annual True Friend Celebration on October 29 at the Union League Club of Chicago. Â Bill Fleck was presented with the 2022 True Friend Award and Dr. Evisha Ford delivered an inspiring keynote address.
