SUMMARY:Storybook Volunteer Training for Dixon Correctional Center
DESCRIPTION:The Storybook Project enables parents who are incarcerated to record themselves reading a book to their children. Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) provides training and coordinates the recording visits for volunteers\, and then sends the book and recording to the children. \nA training will be held for volunteers on Friday\, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LSSI’s Sterling office\, 1901 1st Ave.\, Sterling\, to provide volunteers who can make recordings at Dixon Correctional Center. RSVPs are requested to Kevin.Copeland@LSSI.org. Lunch will be provided.
