Graphic of Jesus as the Good Shepherd

Good Shepherd Sunday is May 8, 2022

My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.
-John 10:27-28

On Good Shepherd Sunday, many congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) across the state celebrate their shared social ministry with Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI).

Please plan now to celebrate with LSSI during the 2022 Easter season, on May 8 or any other Sunday in May. Given the ongoing pandemic, the resources being created for Good Shepherd Sunday will include options for churches holding online services.

We have offering envelopes available if you would like to join other congregations that are mailing them out to members. For envelopes or other information, please email Susan.Greeley@lssi.org

Just as God sees each person in their entirety, LSSI seeks to provide Whole-Person Care to those receiving our services. The faithfulness of congregations like yours is critically important in this work.
