Advocate for Increased Foster Care Reimbursement

John Schnier, executive director of LSSI’s Children’s Community Services,
urges foster parents to contact their legislators to urge them to support
increased funding for reimbursement of foster care expenses.

State Representative Barbara Flynn Currie (D-Chicago) accepted the Paul Simon Courage in Public Service Award from Daniel Schwick, director of Lutheran Advocacy-Illinois, at an April 16th reception in Springfield as part of Lutheran Day, an annual event where Lutherans and Lutheran human service organizations from around the state gather to advocate for adequate, timely funding to serve people in need.
