Home Care FAQ
How does the billing process work?
If you are paying on your own, a monthly invoice based on hours of service is sent by mail or email. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. If your payment plan is through a managed care organization (MCO) or the Community Care Program (CCP), payments will be taken care of by that agency. For more information, view our home care payment options page.
Do I have to be Lutheran to receive service from Intouch?
No. Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) serves individuals of all ethnicities, creeds, and cultures.

What qualifications/standards must Home Care Aides meet?
Each of our Intouch Home Care Aides (HCAs) are carefully screened for integrity, including fingerprint background checks and any history of Medicare fraud. HCAs then receive pre-service training, as well as ongoing annual training. Supervisors always remain in close contact with the HCAs, clients, and family members (with permission), even making personal visits to clients’ homes.
