Consider becoming a home care assistant for Intouch Home Care Services, a program of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI).

At Intouch, our goal is to help individuals remain in their homes and communities as long as possible. We arrange for home care assistants to visit people in their homes and assist them with the responsibilities and activities needed for daily living.

We recognize our clients' needs and abilities and provide individual attention and service for them. In doing so, we also provide respite and peace of mind for the seniors' families and caregivers. The companionship that you will provide to these people is just as important as caring for their needs.

As a trained home care assistant, you will:

• Provide assistance with personal care
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Provide medication reminders
• Shop for groceries and perform other errands
• Perform housekeeping tasks
• Provide transportation to appointments
• Launder and iron clothing

Home Care experience is not necessary. All LSSI home care assistants receive a minimum of 24 hours of initial training and ongoing follow-up training.
