Elder Abuse Intake Volunteers Needed
Did you know that it’s been estimated that between 1 and 2 million Americans age 65 and older have been injured, exploited or otherwise mistreated by someone on whom they depended on for care or protection?*
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is currently looking for Elder Abuse Intake volunteers. Volunteers will be answering calls and processing information received into a computer database. LSSI will provide all training as well as offer ongoing support. Volunteers must be able to read and write English, have computer skills and practice active listening. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday during the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and will work at LSSI’s Sterling office.
