LSSI Hosts Annual Health and Education Expo in August

On August 8, the 12^th Annual Health and Education Expo will be hosted by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) at the De La Salle Institute, located at 3434 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Families in the Chicagoland area are invited to attend the Expo. A number of healthcare vendors will be on hand to provide immunization, vision and hearing screening, and dental exams. There will also be entertainment, raffles and prizes.

The Expo, which is one of the services LSSI provides for its foster children and their families, is also open to the community. Its purpose is to help children prepare to achieve success in school, as they make the transition to the new year.

The high school is close to public transportation, and free parking is also available.
