Skilled/Intermediate Nursing Care
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) offers skilled nursing care at St. Matthew Center for Health in Park Ridge and P.A. Peterson Center for Health in Rockford.
At these facilities, licensed nurses and certified staff members work 24/7 to provide care to meet residents’ physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. LSSI is committed to providing individuals with the highest level of care with compassion and dignity.
Staff members partner with residents and their physicians to make sure medical needs are met. Services offered include:
- Physical, occupational and speech therapy
Wound care is provided by a team, including a dietitian, nurses and a therapist, with oversight by the individual’s primary physician. Individuals who must receive their nutrition through alternate means, such as an IV or gastric tube, are closely monitored by a dietitian and nurse.
Skilled nursing care is available to individuals who have just completed a stay at the hospital or to residents of St. Matthew or P.A. Peterson.
