Residential Treatment Services For Adolescents
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) has two residential programs for adolescents, both located at the Nachusa Lutheran Home in Nachusa.
- Alternatives to Detainment provides 24-hour residential treatment for youth on probation, as an alternative to juvenile detention centers. Treatment includes rehabilitative services for youth and family members, with a goal of reuniting the family. All referrals are made by probation departments.
- Adolescent Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment provides 24-hour residential treatment for youth experiencing drug and/or alcohol addiction. Rehabilitative, family and linkage services are provided to youth and families. Referrals for inpatient substance abuse treatment and the halfway house come from the community, probation departments and other social services agencies.
LSSI is an Illinois Licensed Child Welfare Agency - License #013005.
Nachusa Lutheran Home is licensed by DCFS as a Child Care Institution – License # 037202-10.
Nachusa Lutheran Home’s substance abuse treatment services are licensed by the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse – Level I and II: license # A-0286-0020-A; and Level III: license #A-0286-0018-A.
