Mental Health Services for Children and Adults
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) has offered a variety of mental health services to residents of the Northwest Side of Chicago for more than 30 years. We serve people throughout their lives, beginning at age 3 and continuing throughout childhood and their adult years. Our goal is to help persons with mental illness live a full and rich life, reaching their potential at home, at work, socially and in their community.
LSSI serves nearly 5,200 people each year in our mental health programs as primary consumers of our services. Because we also work with families, our mental health services touch the lives of thousands more. Our programs include crisis intervention, short- and long-term case management, counseling, psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation and residential treatment. Many of our staff are bilingual and can offer services in Spanish and Polish, the two largest ethnic groups on the Northwest Side.
