Group Homes for Adults

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) operates three group homes in Chicago for adults with a significant level of mental illness that has reduced their ability to live on their own. The group homes offer structure and consistent support, with the goal of helping residents successfully return to independence in the community of their choice. Group home staff works with residents to develop their skills for self-care, and helps residents to understand, cope with and eventually recover from their mental illness.

LSSI offers three group homes for adults on the Northwest Side of Chicago:

  • Belle Plaine Group Home is a CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) residence for both men and women
  • Hutchinson Group Home is a residence for women
  • Keystone Group Home is a residence for men

LSSI services are licensed by the Illinois Department of Mental Health and the Illinois Bureau of Accreditation, Licensure and Certification. LSSI accepts Medicare and Medicaid insurances that are not affiliated with a managed care organization.
