Domestic Violence Intervention Program
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) offers a Domestic Violence Intervention Program to men and women of Ogle County who are referred by the court system or who are self-referred. The program also offers its services to residents of other counties who are referred to it.
Men are required to attend a 2-1/2 hour lethality assessment and then attend an intensive 26-week outpatient group therapy program to deal with their thought processes, perceptions, beliefs and actions. Women may work with counselors on an individual basis.
The program also works with victims/survivors of abuse, including counseling, working with a victims’ shelter and training. The program also works with families of the perpetrators of domestic violence.
This program is available only at LSSI’s Oregon office.
