Situated on a unique parcel of land on the east side of Rockford, the Spring Ridge community offers 60 one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors. The building’s architecture reflects the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie School of Architecture. The apartment building lies between a retail area on the north and a residential area on the south. It is conveniently located near shopping and medical facilities. Spring Ridge opened in June 2008.

• Walk-in/stand-up showers

In addition, residents can enjoy:

• A full-time, on-site social service coordinator to assist residents and organize monthly events

Residents must be 62 or older and meet specific income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Rent is 30 percent of the resident’s adjusted annual income.
